I finally got around to cleaning out my clothes closet and freed myself of many attachments. What fun! I was on a roll. Going through a stack of pants and jeans, I narrowed it down significantly. I found myself thinking, “Will I ever be skinny enough to wear this again and if I am, will it be in style. (As though that matters to me.) Some things, relatively new, I looked at and thought, “What was I thinking? Who would ever wear this?” I have much more to shed, but I can already see that it is more orderly. Oh, the joys of freedom and letting go!

About dmdubay

Since retiring from Northwest Airlines and moving to the Pacific Northwest, I have more time to devote to writing. My first novel, "Tales of Two Sisters" was published over a year ago. I have been writing poetry for a long time and am attempting to collate my poetry into a short book, with pictures. A sequel to "Tales of Two Sisters" should be getting closer to completion soon. Gardening and tending the vineyard take a lot of time in the summer. Even though I love the outdoors, these activities do cut down on my writing. So I appreciate that wintertime allows me time to write. Writing, for me, is what brings things into focus and helps me to make sense of the things that life brings. It is a gift to me and I hope that it will be to you also.

It’s funny..whenever I have thought of you and I throughout the years, it was just like of my favorite song lyrics on this is one by Lee Ann Womack called “I hope you Dance”. Here is the link for those lyrics. Like me, Dar, you will be able to relate to this song.

It looks as though I was not able to cite the link, so I guess you will have to copy it down or copy and paste, but I hope that you will check out the lyrics. It is well worth the read. Somewhere, I have a copy of this song which I reread periodically because it is how I want to live my life.
